Oral hygiene

Oral hygiene means all procedures that clean the oral cavity. After eating a lot of food deposit is created on the tooth surface, this pellicle (plaque) is calcificated due to not proper oral hygiene. This might become dental deposit.

Dental deposit may cause several diseases of the oral cavity, such as gingivitis. To prevent this, proper oral hygiene is absolutely necessary. From an aestethic point of view treatment is indicated for discoloured teeth due to coffee, tea or nicotin.

Professional teeth cleaning consists of cleaning the gums, removing dental deposit, cleaning the toothbed. Correct oral hygiene prevents caries.
