Tooth extraction
For the restauration of natural smile and the reconstruction of the complete denture it is worth treating this lack by implantation, ideally within 6 months time so that the original tooth is replaced by an implant of similar effect.
In oral surgery tooth extraction is a simple, routine treatment. The removal of teeth or roots is one of the most common surgical intervention. Tooth extraction is always done under local anesthesia.
When tooth extraction is necessary?
- carious, painful, moving tooth
- advanced tooth-bed disease
- when tooth is only partially erupt (wisdom tooth)
- if the tooth tissue or tooth-bed is damaged
In the case of simple tooth extraction when the tooth to be removed can be seen and easily appproached, the dentist removes it using a special clamp.
In our clinic tooth extraction is only a final solution, when we find no other possibility to save the tooth. Often it is possible to find a solution seemingly hopeless cases. After tooth extraction we clean the wound using a special curettage spoon. We remove the root tip, the inflammated tissue and stop the bleeding.
Surgical removal of tooth:
This surgical intervention is most often necessary in case of lower wisdom teeth, as these are often not properly postioned in the jaw.
According to the prior X-ray the dentist may decide on surgical intervention. This is a routine intervention which has all necessary conditions in our clinic. Before injecting the anesthetic injection the patient receives a flavoured numbling jelly, which makes the area numb. This ensures that the injection is painless.
